Yes. Each sticker is laminated, which protects it from scratches, tears, and water. This lamination also extends their lifespan, even when used on frequently handled surfaces or those slightly exposed to moisture.

Laminated vinyl stickers can generally last between 2 and 7 years, depending on their use and environmental conditions. Their durability particularly depends on where they are applied: prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, humidity, or temperature variations can reduce their longevity. Under milder conditions, they retain their appearance for much longer.

I use an Epson EcoTank printer that works with refillable ink tanks, which drastically reduces the production of plastic waste generated by conventional cartridges. Epson also implements recycling programs for used ink bottles, thereby encouraging responsible waste management and a circular economy.

No printer is entirely without environmental impact. To maximize the eco-responsibility of my printing, I adopt responsible printing habits, recycle ink bottles when possible, and consider the overall environmental footprint of the printer throughout its life cycle.

I do my best to compensate for the resources needed to produce them with thoughtful and responsible packaging. Your orders are protected in a sturdy envelope, but the rest is intentionally minimalist: compostable materials, just enough to ensure the safety of the contents without creating unnecessary waste. Each shipment still includes a small thank-you note.

The stickers I offer are unfortunately neither biodegradable nor compostable at the moment. Like many printed products, they require materials that do not fully decompose in a natural environment. That being said, I am very mindful of the impact of my small production and I compensate as much as possible by choosing minimalist, compostable packaging designed to reduce waste. I also continue to research more ecological alternatives for the future, to gradually improve each step of the creation process. In the meantime, I hope these illustrations of your hamsters will accompany you for a long time.

All orders will be shipped via Canada Post, which applies a carbon offset policy to all its shipments (emissions generated by transportation are measured and then offset by investments in recognized environmental projects). I am happy to be able to rely on a carrier that also takes these issues seriously.

Unfortunately, there is no universal recycling solution for stickers yet, so most have to be thrown away with regular waste once they are no longer usable. That said, it is possible to make them last longer by adopting a few good practices, such as sticking them on clean and dry surfaces, avoiding areas highly exposed to humidity, or using them on objects you keep for a long time. For my part, I continue to research more responsible materials in order to offer, in the future, options with a more ecological end-of-life.
