Founder, animal illustrator dedicated to hamsters
Hello, my name is Vi.
It was in the summer of 2024 that I began drawing my very first hamsters. My beginnings in illustration were very timid, but something deeper was calling to me. I wanted to translate a message of awareness into drawings, to better grasp who they are and to echo their silent voices. This work became a personal journey, a sincere gesture to learn more about them, share and honor these small animals.
2024 - 2025
The art of observation
For several months, and throughout 2025, I dedicated myself to observing how enthusiasts in Quebec define hamster welfare. Through these encounters, testimonials, and glimpses into everyday life, I discovered a multitude of touching stories. Some resonated deeply with me, to the point where I felt compelled to honor them.
A collection is born
The hamsters of Quebec
After months of sketching, filling notebooks with drafts, and imagining silhouettes, personalities and expressions inspired by these stories, I wanted to offer something that could accompany people through their important moments. Many sketches are still lying dormant in my notebooks, but a few have managed to see the light of day.

Official launch of the store
I imagined that converting my illustrations into stickers would be a simple technical detail: print, cut, package. In reality, it required as much effort, if not more, than creating them. I had to learn the basics of entrepreneurship, understand the obligations of an independent creator, and master each stage of production. By choosing to do everything by hand in my workshop, I accepted that each step would take time, but that's also what gives each sticker its unique character.
The Hambajoues today
Beyond the stickers
As the seasons pass, the Hambajoues project takes shape. My intention is to build a platform that goes beyond a simple shop. I would like it to become a place where people can learn, understand and better care for these little animals.
I am continually working to enrich this project, so that it gradually evolves into a more complete, accessible and helpful resource, dedicated to the well-being of hamsters and those who take care of them.
